InversePay is a financial technology company, not a bank. Payment and account services are provided through licensed financial institution partners, including Belmoney.
- InversePay is not a bank and does not hold a banking licence. Money transmission and payment services are provided by licensed partners, and customer funds are held in safeguarded accounts at regulated institutions, separate from our own money.
- Payment services originating in the European Economic Area are provided through Belmoney, a payment institution licensed by the National Bank of Belgium and authorised under PSD2 to provide payment services across the EEA. Belmoney safeguards funds as required by its licence.
- Identity verification and AML screening in the app are performed by Sumsub, our verification partner. Every account is verified before it can move money, and transfers are screened in line with our AML policy.
- Transfers usually arrive within minutes, but timing depends on the corridor, the payout method and the checks a transfer must pass. The fee and the exchange rate for your transfer are shown in the app before you confirm, and the availability of products, currencies and payout methods varies by country and is subject to verification.
- InversePay is not a deposit-taking institution, and balances held with us are not covered by a deposit guarantee scheme. Holding a balance is free of monthly fees; conversion between currencies is priced inside the rate shown at the time of conversion.
